Our most popular service is our Basic Pest Prevention plan. It starts at $49 per month. Final pricing will depend on a number of factors including your home's size (the bigger the house, the more costly) and any specific pest issues you might be experiencing right now (certain bugs require additional charges on the initial service). We provide transparent pricing over the phone or online (just click "Get a Free Quote" at the top). We hate hidden fees as much as you do. Call 817-665-6527 or check out our Pricing Page.
Yes! ~80% of situations we can assess, price, and schedule over the phone. The other 20% are more challenging situations such as rodents getting inside the attic or active termites coming from an unknown location. Whenever an inspection is needed, our team will schedule to have a technician come out to assess the situation. They will be able to provide a no-obligation quote for service at that time. In most situations they can get started with the service right there. Most inspections take about 30 minutes from start to end.
We offer a range of options. Our annual plan is our most popular because we provide a $100-200 discount off the initial service when you commit to one year. But, if you're not ready to commit, no problem. You can pay the full initial price and be on a month-to-month agreement. The nice thing, though, is that we offer a money-back guarantee if we're unable to get rid of a pest problem after multiple re-service attempts. In that case we will let you out of the contract with no penalty and refund your most recent payment. So really, the one-year contract is a no-brainer for most people.
Why, yes we do. Here's the way it works. If you're not satisfied with your service and you've given us three opportunities to make it right / fix the issue, we'll refund your most recent payment. And if you're in the contract period, we'll let you out with no penalties or cancellation fees. It's that simple. With over 2,600 five-star Google reviews, our track record speaks for itself, which is why we're willing to put this out there.
We strive for same-day response days or next-day in the event that you call later in the day. We can usually get this done for most pest issues we commonly deal with. Call us at 817-665-6527 and we'll get you on the schedule as quickly as possible.

Actually, many of our employees have worked for those companies in the past. Our owners live locally in Southlake and personally oversee all operations. We have over 2,600 five-star reviews - the highest-rated pest control company in North Texas. Unlike national chains, you'll get a dedicated team who know your home and your neighborhood.
The Zero Gap System is Forterra's proprietary, trademarked approach to pest control. Rather than just spraying chemicals all over your home, our technicians take the time to seal off pest entry points to create a protective barrier around your home. This means that bugs have fewer ways to get inside, which means we are less likely to need to treat the inside of your home. And if we treat less inside, that's safer for what matters most: you and your loved ones.
This really sets Forterra apart from competitors who typically take the "spray and pray" approach. We have a 5-step process for our general pest package:
1. Knock down all spider webs and wasp nests around your home 2. Spray the perimeter to create a 6-10 foot protective barrier 3. Dust cracks and crevices where pests hide 4. Perform a Zero-Gap System inspection and seal off entry points 5. Optional interior treatment if needed This package covers a wide range of pests including ants, spiders, earwigs, cockroaches, rodents, wasps and dozens of other common household pests. What's not included: mosquitoes, bed bugs, wildlife, and termites — we can cover those under other plans. Many customers upgrade our Basic package to either Standard or Premium. Our Standard plan includes termite monitors. The Premium plan includes the Sentricon Termite Baiting system and a termite warranty on the home. All of our products are EPA-registered and applied strictly according to label directions by licensed technicians. We take extra care around homes with children and pets — our team will walk you through any specific precautions or re-entry times for your treatment. Many of our exterior applications require no special preparation at all. Your technician will always let you know exactly what to expect before we begin.
For your first service, we recommend being home so your technician can walk you through the treatment plan and answer any questions. For ongoing quarterly or monthly visits, we can treat the exterior of your home without you being present. We'll always leave a service report at your door so you know exactly what was done.
If you're dealing with any pest issues on the inside of your home, the technician will determine whether an interior treatment is warranted. The vast majority of pests come in from the outside. So, treating the outside is the way to go. That way we're protecting your family. If an interior treatment is warranted, the technician will take all necessary precautions.Free re-service. If you see pest activity between your regularly-scheduled treatments, call us and we'll come back at no extra charge. Our recurring plans include unlimited re-service visits because we're not done until your home is pest-free. If you chose a one-time service, the warranty period is typically only 30-days.
Most quarterly pest control treatments take 20-30 minutes. Monthly mosquito treatments take about 15 minutes. All of this, of course, can vary based on the size of the property and the type of pest we're treating.
For exterior-only treatments, no preparation is needed (98% of situations). Just make sure all pets are kept inside and the gates are unlocked. For certain specialty pests like German Cockroaches, fleas, or bed bugs, there will be some interior actions we will ask you to take. Our staff will let you know about this ahead of time. Your technician will give you additional specific guidance when they arrive — it's usually minimal.
Most customers notice a significant reduction in pest activity within 24-48 hours of treatment. Some pests like ants may actually appear more active in the first day or two — that's normal and means the treatment is working as pests come into contact with the product. Full effectiveness is typically reached within 7-10 days. If pest activity persists beyond two weeks, call us for a free re-service.
We use a range of EPA-registered products and select the most appropriate ones for your situation. Some of our treatments use naturally-derived active ingredients, and we always prioritize Integrated Pest Management (IPM) principles — which means we focus on exclusion, habitat modification, and targeted treatment rather than blanket chemical applications. If you have specific product preferences or sensitivities, let your technician know and we'll accommodate where possible.
Most of our exterior products are virtually odorless once dry. Some interior treatments may have a mild scent that typically dissipates within a few hours. If odor sensitivity is a concern, let us know and we can discuss treatment options that minimize any scent.
Don't spray them with over-the-counter products — that can actually scatter the colony and make the problem worse. Ants leave chemical trails that lead other ants to food sources, so killing a few visible ants doesn't solve the problem. Our general pest control package includes targeted ant treatment that eliminates the colony at its source. Call us and we can usually get you same-day or next-day service.
We offer several approaches depending on your situation:
- Exterior-only protection: Bait stations placed around your property that we maintain on a regular schedule. We cover this under any of our General pest plans: basic, standard, and premium. - Rodent exclusion: For interior rodent infestations, we inspect your home for entry points — gaps around pipes, vents, rooflines — and seal them to prevent rodents from getting in. Once we seal off the home, we'll set traps to catch any rodents that are trapped in. For active infestations, we start with a free inspection. The exclusion work is what actually solves the problem long-term.This service is included in our Standard Pest package. We install termite monitors around your home, which helps us keep an active eye on termite threats. We check them on each quarterly service. If termites pop up, the cost of upgrading to Premium (with Sentricon) or paying for a spot treatment will be the treatment options. In other words, the termite monitoring service does not come with a termite warranty.
We install Sentricon bait stations in the ground around your home to provide continuous termite monitoring and protection. These stations include bait, which termites feed on then take back to the colony to deliver complete colony elimination. You maintain coverage with annual warranty renewals.
If you believe you have an active termite infestation, we recommend scheduling an inspection so one of our termite specialists can assess the extent of the problem. Termite treatment pricing depends on the specific situation, so we need to see it in person to give you an accurate quote.Year-round. Pests like ants, wasps, spiders, and mosquitoes are more active in Texas summers, but they don't disappear in winter — they seek shelter. Once temperatures drop, spiders, ants, and especially rodents move indoors looking for warmth. Our quarterly treatment schedule is designed to maintain continuous protection throughout the year, adjusting the treatment focus based on seasonal pest pressure.
In the DFW area, mosquito season typically runs from April through October, with peak activity from May through September. Our monthly mosquito treatment program targets breeding sites and resting areas in your yard to significantly reduce mosquito populations. Many customers start their mosquito program in early spring to get ahead of the season./p>
Yes. Wasp nest removal is included in our general pest control packages. If you're on a quarterly plan and find a nest between visits, call us and we'll come remove it at no extra charge as part of your re-service benefit. If you're not currently a customer, we can handle it as a one-time service. Don't try to remove wasp nests yourself — it's a safety risk, especially with larger nests.
Texas brings some unique pest challenges:
- Fire ants — extremely common in DFW yards, aggressive and painful stings - Scorpions — more common in newer developments near open land (Aubrey, Prosper, north DFW) - Brown recluse spiders — native to Texas, found in undisturbed areas like garages and closets - Subterranean termites — one of the most destructive termite species, increasingly found in North Texas - Mosquitoes — DFW's warm climate and standing water create ideal breeding conditions for 6+ months per year - Rats and mice — roof rats are especially common in older Dallas neighborhoods Our technicians know DFW pest patterns inside and out. We adjust treatments seasonally based on what's most active in your specific area.We accept all major credit cards, debit cards, and ACH bank transfers. Payment is collected after each service is completed or on a monthly basis for most customers. For recurring plans, we keep your payment method on file for convenient auto-billing after each quarterly visit. Our technicians do not accept cash. Checks can be accepted.
In short, you can cancel any time. The question is, will there be a cancellation fee? If we gave you a discount on your initial service and you're still in the first year of an annual contract, you will be required to pay back the discount we gave you. If it's after one year or you didn't receive a discount on your initial service, there won't be any cancellation fees. We'd rather work with you to solve any issues than lose you as a customer.
Call us at 817-665-6527 or send us an email or text. Our customer service team can schedule, reschedule, or adjust your service anytime during business hours. We'll always try to accommodate your preferred time window.
